CAS-Pushpull uniqueMetadataElement is being loaded as empty String instead of null

Element.getAttribute returns an empty String instead of NULL when the attribute doesn't exist... this causes Pushpull to think that the uniqueMetadataElement is set and thus causes a NullPointerException
