Maybe a dropdown of the project type to add should be provided, instead of 4 buttons

Attached screenshot is my proposed UI for the new feature. I already have it working in my local, just need to know if anyone else have a better idea of how to make this work.

The flow is you click on the dropdown to get a list of the available project types to add. A new page is requested (via a form submission using javascript) after clicking on the desired project type you want to add.

            Thank you.

Great idea to put it in group actions.
Personally, I'd prefer to not use javascript for the form submission. Click on the dropdown to choose the project type to add, then click on a 'Add project' button.

Hi, I did think about having another action to receive the add new project request, but that would result to a new Action class, a new entry in xwork.xml and would result to more server loads as opposed to having the client do some work. wdyt ?

I like the last option for organization and workflow, fewer things to click as a user...but, is there a plan to use this convention consistently where there are multiple choices like this?

The preferred way is dropdown+button in the group actions part. A dropdown+a submit on change isn't good for this, this way is good only when a user want to filter something but not a submission.
