trying cocoon://site.xml hangs with java.lang.StackOverflowError

    Description

      When doing 'forrest', the cocoon starts, but hangs and no document processing messages are emitted and no indication in the logs. Then need to Ctrl-C it. When doing 'forrest run' the same happens, but with an error message "java.lang.StackOverflowError".
