OSGi bundle hangs in "starting" state

When using the Groovy runtime as an OSGi bundle the bundle hangs in "starting" state when the framework (Felix) is started:

38|Starting   |    1|Groovy Runtime (2.0.1)

Stopping and starting the bundle again seems to fix the problem.
