karaf scripts fail when paths contain spaces

    Description

      The shell scripts fail when the karaf or java paths contain spaces.

      Related, this problem would be easily alleviated if there wasn't so much duplication in the scripts, some of which get updated and others forgotten... why not consolidate the duplication into a single master script?
