Description
From infrastructure:
Hi,
the apache.org infrastucture team is worried about the increase
in size of '/www/www.apache.org/dist/' ; it doubled in a year.
Also, the size of '/dist/' matters to our mirrors and mirroring
resources.
I have looked at
http://www.apache.org/dist/myfaces/
and if I'm not misstaken, I see a lot of old releases.
Please see the ASF policy regarding mirrored releases in '/dist/' :
http://www.apache.org/dev/mirrors.html
Directory '/dist/' should contain only reasonably 'current releases' ;
for instance the ones you point to in
http://myfaces.apache.org/download.html
and maybe some previous releases.
Note that all releases are automatically archived in
http://archive.apache.org/dist/
and that you can easily refer to previous releases in
a 'README.html' in
http://www.apache.org/dist/myfaces/
Currently the size of '/dist/myfaces/' is 1944 Mb.
Thanks for the fix, regards,
Henk Penning
