[tree2] Expand full node path of a specific nodes programatically

We need to be able to select and expand nodes in the tree. If someone
hits 'search', we need to expand the path to the node we find and select it. This seems
troublesome to do in the current implementation

Ideally we would like to be able to use the client side feature of Tree2, but would use
server-side if that is all that worked.
