Auto-complete creates an extra space below the fist bracket of a class/interface declaration

When using the auto-format feature (Alt+Shift+F), an extra space is generated by Netbeans (PHP) just below the first { (bracket) of a class or interface declaration.

There appears to be no way to remove this in the current settings.
