Handling huge number of data in one plate

Team,

 We are having the problem in handling the huge number of data in one SOLR plate. To make it clear, We have a relation as below.  

                    Product - etect  N:N

                     etec - patetn 1:N

Now, We have to use patent search and it should be used us facet filters too. so we have indexed them in the facet configuration as per SOLR norms.

One product may have 1k or more patents. So due to this while searching we are experiencing the Slow or time out error.  Please guide us to resolve this as we already rollout to production.

We are using Two-phase indexing and SOLR cloud for Hybris.
