HTML entities are scrambled by Wookie

    Description

      When I include HTML entities in my widgets, Wookie somehow scrambles them, yielding a � character.
      Entities that work: & <
      Entities that do not work:   ß ä (German umlauts) ´ © ◤

      My best guess is that this might be an encoding issue.
